Recorded at Stonehenge, Amesbury UK at Summer Solstice (in the morning of 21st June 2014) using OKM Binaural Mics and iPhone, recorded after sunrise at around 5:30am.
Summer Solstice is one of the few times a year that the public is allowed to walk within the stones of Stonehenge. Recent research into the acoustic properties of the structure and the stones of stonehenge made me take this trip. Far from a sacred atmosphere, it is more like a free-party albeit with the notable absence of amplified music. In the recording, I walk from outside of the stone circle inside it, make a round inside, before exiting.
